Recent report by Market research firm Infonetics Research suggest that now worldwide many major cable operators worldwide are setting up infrastructure to support latest wideband and DOCSIS 3.0 services. More wideband equipments are seen in the markets.

Directing analyst for Infonetics Research, Jeff Heynen says that even though currently number of wideband devices is relatively small compared to standard cable CPE, by 2014 wideband devices should be common in markets in North American, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

According to the report, the broadband CPE worldwide revenue increased by 10 percent in 2009 4th quarter mainly due to flushing of CPE by operators at year end, upgrading by consumers to newer devices and by Chinese operators.

Most of the operators in North America, especially ones from United States, spent whatever was left in their equipments budget in the fourth quarter, which helped edge QAM and CMTS vendors. MobileOne on an expansion spree, takes world markets by storm

MobileOne Infocom, a mobile application development company as part of its expansions plan in West Asia and South America is looking to capture venture capital funding of $2 million for that purpose.
Ravi Subramanyam, director of MobileOne Infocom said that expanding in North America and Europe by next year is their immediate priority. He also said that is company is planning to raise $2 million for this expansion by equity dilution. He added that they are in discussion with investors to fund their expansion and they might go for IPO in 2013 or get takeover by a larger company related to their field.

They have partnered with companies like IBM, TCS, Bharti Airtel, Tata Indicom, Motorola and HP. They are developing SAP Lab to develop enterprise oriented mobile applications.

TELUS to SPEND650M for extending and improvising network in Alberta

For upgrading its networks to improve service, the telecom company in EDMONTON, Telus has announced to expand $650 million in Alberta in 2010.
In a statement, TELUS told that it aims to extend the coverage and speed of wireless and wire line broadband services.
For extending the coverage of high speed internet and digital TV, $700 million has been already spent the previous year.
Darren Entwistle occupying the position of both CEO and president in the company said that more than $21 billion has been spent in 2000 in Alberta for the capital investment for setting the same in Alberta as well as the operating expenses.
Entwistle said in a statement that the huge investment commitment has enabled the company to be the 2nd in the world delivering advanced Internet services and high definition digital TV.
